About Me
A Personal & Professional Approach
I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step. My aim is to provide a calm and supportive environment where you can speak openly without fear of judgement.
Every person’s experience is unique, which is why I believe therapy should never feel rigid or one-size-fits-all. I work collaboratively with clients to create a therapeutic experience that feels supportive, respectful, and tailored to individual needs.
Whether you are struggling emotionally, feeling overwhelmed, facing relationship challenges, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, therapy can offer space for reflection, healing, and growth.
Professional Background
My training includes a Master’s degree in Psychology, Environment, Health and Wellbeing, as well as an Honours degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and continue to engage in ongoing professional development to ensure my work remains ethical, informed, and responsive to the people I support.
My practice is grounded in empathy, authenticity, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
My Therapeutic Approach
I work integratively, tailoring therapy to each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. My core foundation is Person-Centred Therapy, which is part of the humanistic approach. This means I offer a warm, empathic, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely and at your own pace.
Alongside this, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps identify and work with unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, and behaviours. CBT can be especially helpful for anxiety, depression, stress, and low mood.
Where appropriate, I may also integrate elements of other therapeutic approaches, including:
- Existential Therapy, exploring meaning, identity, and life direction
- Narrative Therapy, helping you understand and reshape your personal story
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), focusing on emotional awareness and relationships
- Creative approaches, which can support expression when words feel difficult
My aim is to provide a flexible and responsive way of working that supports both emotional depth and practical change. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship, built on trust and understanding, is the foundation for meaningful and lasting progress.
What You Can Expect from Therapy
I offer a professional, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic relationship that is tailored to your individual circumstances and goals. Therapy provides a confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, gain greater self-understanding, and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges.
Whether you are facing emotional difficulties, navigating a significant life event, or seeking personal growth, we will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My focus is on helping you build resilience, increase self-awareness, and create positive, lasting change.
Areas I Support
I work with a broad range of emotional and psychological concerns, including anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, and post-traumatic stress. I also support individuals experiencing grief and loss, relationship difficulties, family issues, and major life changes.
Additional areas of practice include self-esteem, identity, personal development, addiction, self-harm, eating disorders, OCD, phobias, abuse, anger management, and emotional regulation.
I have particular experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism, as well as people experiencing burnout, workplace pressures, and challenges related to work-life balance.
My practice is inclusive and affirming of all identities and backgrounds, providing a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals, including those exploring their sexuality, gender, or sense of self.
